Durant FFA Chapter Celebrates National 3 Star Award and Gears Up for National Convention
The Durant FFA chapter is overjoyed to receive the prestigious National 3 Star Award, a testament to their unwavering commitment and outstanding achievements in the agricultural community. This remarkable recognition reflects their dedication to FFA values, earning them a well-deserved spot among the nation's top chapters.
In celebration of this prestigious honor, the Durant FFA members are excitedly preparing for an unforgettable journey to the National Convention. From October 31 to November 3, they will be heading to the vibrant city of Indianapolis, Indiana, where the convention will take place.
The National Convention promises to be an inspiring event, uniting FFA members from across the country. Our talented students will have the extraordinary opportunity to engage with like-minded individuals, attend enriching workshops, and be inspired by motivational speakers who will ignite their passion for agriculture and leadership.

Only the best of the best get to qualify for the state event, with the top two participants from each Regional group earning their spots. Our dedicated students will be putting in the effort, studying hard, and honing their expertise in FFA fundamentals, history, and constitution.
The Greenhand Quiz pulls questions from esteemed FFA sources, like the FFA Manual, New Horizons, and State FFA Constitution. Our Durant FFA members are all set to impress, dressed in their finest Official FFA attire.

Tulsa State Fair
By the time the Tulsa State Fair rolls around hundred of hours of preparation have gone into getting these animals show-ready. Each member of the chapter that is showing has devoted time and effort to ensure their animals are in peak condition. They have not only provided proper care, feeding, and grooming but also honed their showmanship skills to handle their animals with confidence.
Participating in livestock exhibitions offers more than just a chance to win accolades. For Durant FFA members, it's an opportunity for personal growth. They develop vital life skills like responsibility, discipline, and teamwork, which will serve them well in their future endeavors.
Support from the local community is important a vital part of the Durant FFA. Parents, businesses, and fellow students rally behind the FFA members, providing encouragement and resources. SE Area COLT Conference
Oklahoma FFA Association - Chapter Officer Leadership Training (COLT Conference)
The COLT Conference, organized by the Oklahoma FFA Association, is a leadership training event designed for FFA chapter officers. It aims to empower and equip these officers with essential leadership skills and tools. The conference includes an opening ceremony, state officer challenge, area recognition, and workshops led by keynote speakers. Attendance in official FFA dress is required, and chapter officers must participate to be eligible for certain chapter awards. The event is scheduled at various locations across Oklahoma on different dates, and chapter advisors are encouraged to extend lunch invitations to state officers. The COLT Conference presents a valuable opportunity for FFA members to develop their leadership potential and contribute to the success of their chapters.
